RG History of Jodhpur

The city of Jodhpur was founded by the Rajput chief of the Rathore clan, Rao Jodha. It was believed that the Rajput clan that he belonged to were the successors of Lord Rama. Jodhpur was historically the capital of the Kingdom of Marwar, which is now part of Rajasthan. Jodhpur is a popular tourist destination, featuring many palaces, forts, and temples, set in the stark landscape of the Thar Desert. Jodhpur is a place fully jam-packed with history, mysteries, culture, and tradition. Rao Jodha had made Mandore which was his hometown to serve as the capital, but later he shifted the capital to Jodhpur.
